Miss Kenichi was born a trucker-kid in a secluded little town in the woods. So Restlessness and the grand metaphor of travelling without arriving has been installed from an early age. She worked as a theatre-actress,and after that, while attending art-school as a painter, she finally found music and within that, home. Her dark-blue, sparsely arranged songs are fine examples of making more out of less. Dry guitars meet a wonderful and tender voice that easily slips in under your defences. Miss Kenichi sings of mountains, dark dreams and the never ending search for a home. COLLISION TIME is her first record, originally released in 2006. It was followed by FOX in 2008.
