简介

Mike Caesar burst on the scene in 2010, as Young Legend, with his breakout single “Go Hard”, released under SteelDreams Ent., which quickly caught on across the southeast. Linking up with longtime friend Papa Duck, a rising Florida artist, the duo released the street favorite “Hood Alumni” mixtape, which was compiled of popular street songs from the two. Duck and Mike would spend the end of 2010 touring together in MS, AL, and FL performing with the likes of Plies, Rick Ross, Waka Flocka, and other mainstream southern stars. Public appeal and interest in "Young/King Legend" excelled in 2011-2012 with the release of several viral videos via YouTube, and setting up promo tours across the south, opening up for artist Rick Ross, Waka Flaka, Papa Duck, Webbie, and more. Mike used this momentum to gear up for the fall 2011 release of Beat Block Magazine’s Mixtape of the Year “TellAFriend vol. 1 w/ Core Djs BIG DADDY the DJ and TrackHuntaz Djs DJ GOLDYI”, the long awaited follow up to 2009’s “Checkmate” with Xsquad Dj’s DJ TONY H and SteelDreams Ent., which garnered the same award. Mike Caesar released singles and several collabos, mainly with indie artist Papa Duck and Team Twillie, and most notably “What You Sayin”, in Winter of 2012, with New Orleans native Famous $aint. Riding the success of the January 2013 release of TellAFriend 1.5. Mike Caesar, and his crew/label Skyline Republic have built a cult like viral following, due to numerous viral videos, collabos, and clothing line. Skyline Republic C.E.O., Tru McFadden, attributes the success of Mike and the Republic primarily to Mike’s ability to compose music, versus “just ordinary rap”. Mike concluded the “Triple R/Gotta Ball Tour”, a conjoined tour across Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi, with longtime friend and collaborator, Papa Duck, in late 2013, and began working on what is now known as the Miami Layover Soundtrack and Movie.
