Marcus Daniels is an up and coming Tejano artist from Waco Texas that was influenced and touched by the Tejano culture as an early teen. He is also home to Temple and Austin area. From first glance, some people within the Tejano industry compare him to Tejano legend Bobby “ El Charro Negro” Butler, Dee Burleson and even country artist Darius Rucker. Many believe he will bring a refreshing twist to the genre because of his wide range of influences from artist such as Prince to Dwight Yoakam. Marcus' first single is a romantic cumbia titled “Porque Mi Amor” which was released fall of 2014. “Porque Mi Amor” was initially a side project produced and arranged by Sotero Seniceros , founder of the Rewind Party Band. Due to the positive response, the two have decided to continue to work on more projects. There has also been talks of a full length CD in 2015 even reforming Sotero's group Algo Suave having Marcus as lead vocalist. “Tu Calor” the second is set to release late 2014. Currently Marcus Daniels is the lead singer of Rewind Party Band, a high energy 70s and 80s band, that frequently gigs around central Texas area including DFW and Austin. Prior to that he was lead vocalist of Grupo Ziztema from Belton Texas. He has also performed at the Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair, had the opportunity to open up for Ruben Ramos and shared the stage with AT Boyz and the legendary Jessy Serrata. When Marcus is asked about his experience in the industry being compared to “El Charro Negro”and Dee Burleson, he states: “that's not what I'm trying to do, these are great artist, I look up to them and thanks for the compliment ”.
