简介
A producer, studio musician and vocalist of the seminal video game “Guitar Hero” and current Audio Director at Disney mobile, Nick Gallant has been on the pulse of music, gaming and technology for the past decade. Spending much of his time creating as a “job”, it’s taken two years for Nick to realize his third solo album Wanderlust available February 4, 2014 on Tiny Acres Records. Nick attended Berklee College of Music in Boston before returning to the Northern California city of Santa Cruz, a place that has fostered his laid-back personality, passion for surfing and informed his sense of community and family - all of which are woven into the fabric of Wanderlust and aptly captured in the video for the title track. The 19-song collection pushes to center stage a musician who is as comfortable playing ukulele and acoustic guitar grooves layered with catchy melodies as he is giving voice to intimate reflections on mortality over a live string quartet. Nick’s lyrical wanderings can take him to painful places, but his positive spirit almost always shines through in his songs. Nick released his self-titled debut in 2008 and followed with the sophomore effort South Facing Slope in 2011. In 2009, Nick composed the music for “Understanding Chemistry in Our World” which won an Emmy for Best Instructional Programming Series. And currently, the title track “Wanderlust” is featured on the iPhone music game “Tap Tap Revenge” and has been downloaded over 2 million times.
