As an 80s offspring in Luanda, Angola, Faradai always showed great interest in art. From creating homemade dummies with telephone wire, to painting, comic books and the educational shows that aired on the angolan tv under the communist regime, this kid learned the first steps towards the growth of a free or captive man in front of this vast world. Influenced by his older Brothers, Faradai grows listening to Rock, Pop, Reggae, Jazz, Funk, Soul, African Rhythms and in 94 he discovers Hip Hop. Between 97 and 2000 he writes, reads literature compulsively, goes to workshops, freestsyle battles on high school times (Makarenko) and sings at the junior choir of the Methodist Church. In 2001, his curiosity leads him to production and forms the group “Simbiose”, playing underground shows on the Angolan capital, Luanda, between 05/07. He is a member of the Jazzmática collective and of The Grasspoppers. Faradai speaks about the single Dar E Receber ft/ Gonçalo Clington: I was inspired by that show on Angolan FM stereo called...''Canta Angola'', where they played many sounds exulting our Angolan culture, in the musicality that is this country. This is a tribute to our elders, who took the Angolan music to another level, with distinction and success overseas, and to the younger generation gaining pace, showing that they too can do it and are willing to pursue the path and the heritage that is far from its end, for it´s emotion is found on the pursuit.
