Just Plain Darin is a powerhouse Christian rock quartet from eastern Washington. While their sound is quite unique and a bit hard to classify, they do have a bluesy, classic rock flavored vibe reminiscent of Big Tent Revival and Audio A. as well as some newer alternative and worship influences like Casting Crowns, with obvious elements of funk and jazz mixed in. Their original lyrics are Christ centered and/or speak to the issues of the Christian life, as well as the despair of a life devoid of Him. With a passion for both building up the believers and for reaching the lost, they administer the hope of Christ through song and sharing.

The band was originally formed as a temporary lineup to debut the fully produced sophomore effort, Brand New Day, from worship leader and solo artist Darin Hilderbrand of Calvary Chapel Spokane Wa. The union stuck and the band has been consistently playing together ever since.
