This was an album which was recorded in one session. I had planned for a while to record an album of sixtiesesque songs. I had grown up listening to The Beatles, The Shadows, Dusty Springfield and The Kinks among many others and was always inspired by the raw power of the music. Today much of the music I listen to is so refined that it has lost much of its humanity. These are a collection of some tunes which are, without any doubt, raw. It gave me an opportunity to work with my good friends Stef Judd and Sandy Mears on a couple of tunes I had written, TV Soap and I've Been Hurt Before, as well as a Springsteen classic Johnny 99 and the timeless Put a Little Love in Your Heart.
