简介
Travis Reed is a small town Hawaiian boy, now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Four years ago, Travis started writing songs, as a stress release from his Silicon Valley day job. It was a way to talk about difficult problems that face all of us, in our everyday lives. Before he knew it, Songs About Women, came to life in the form of his first CD. When asked what he wanted his music to communicate, Travis replied, 'I want my music to send a message of hope. I sing about real life issues, so that people can say, 'hey, I've felt like that before too.' Throughout the nine original songs, Travis pulls on his early musical influences of Blues, Rock, Pop, Jazz, and Hawaiian music. His down to earth approach, soulfully takes on difficult issues. One example, is 'San Diego,' in which Travis calls upon his Hawaiian roots to find a way to cope with the tragic loss of his little brother. This heartfelt story is balanced by the bliss filled 'Laura's Song,' the upbeat, mystical, 'Olivia,' and the 'Bluesy' ride on 'Tiare's Train.' Travis covers all ends of the spectrum to take you on a delightful journey through Songs About Women.
