The music on this record was written and recorded almost entirely by me, along with a few bits recorded with Bill Moriarty (Man Man, Dr. Dog) who also mastered the record. The title of the record is the most apt description of it; these songs aim to describe various sides of life as I have seen it, sometimes with some humor and/or sarcasm, but always with honesty. The music is heavily influenced by a large number of artists, and the songs range over a fair variety of musical styles. If there is a common musical theme to this record, it is too broad for me to identify. All of the songs are focused on familiar Rock/Pop songwriting structure; although there are plenty of weird musical twists and turns, there is no atonal music or free jazz here. These songs hinge on melodies and occasional chordal and rhythmic shenanigans.
