every once in a while a band comes along blows our mind and makes us wonder how we got along without them all this time... this is the first effort from a band who had no intention of becoming a band.. originally they came together so the students at Portland's recording Associates studio class could have a real live band to practice on.. after the first session Matt saw Mike Varney on MTV talking to JJ Jackson about his search for unsung guitar heroes... a couple of demos were sent and The tonight show written by Danny Kurth was chosen for the compilation lp meanwhile back home radio station KGON was doing their own compilation of homegrown bands and wild dogs won 2 of the call in competitions and Born to Rock was chosen for that.... ( drumming on that track and 3 other songs is Jaime St James, front man for Black n Blue i found Deen at the 11th hour when we were about to pack it in as both Pete Holmes and Jaime had moved the band to Hollywood

the songwriting was the best part for us , it was a workshop without any of the interference that came AFTER we started playing live shows.this is a group in it's natural state without any idea of what to be we just WERE. included are 7 bonus tracks our earliest recordings beginning with fugitive of the law.. which features kip doran on 2nd lead guitar... originally this was a 2 guitar lineup but... jeff is so good another my playing was getting in the way... and since we loved Van Halen and Ozzy i saw us as a trio and front man - the singer who was scheduled to be with us flake leaving me in the spot... this has been remastered by bryce van patten so you can hear the bass better..
