Ian Kamp is a singer/songwriter from Nova Scotia, and also a music producer, studio owner, husband, and father. Growing up in Eastern Canada, while also spending time in New England, and Edinburgh, he's always kept a song in his head, and the ocean nearby. Fittingly, Lost At Sea was the title of his first studio album, released in April of 2016. Headlined by the title track Lost At Sea, Say I Do, and Shoebox (Featuring the late Fleur Mainville), the album has a laid back vibe, smooth vocals, and meaningful lyrics that keep the listener intrigued throughout. Kamp performed all instruments on the album, except for Mainville's feature. Having opened for big-time east coaster Jimmy Rankin, Ian is no stranger to the big stage, but also has been known to play smaller venues, coffee shops, house concerts, anywhere music listeners are. In June of 2016, Kamp launched Shoebox Studios just outside of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, with the goal of creating a place for local musicians to create professional quality music without having to break the bank to travel out of town. While the studio is still growing, he and fellow producer Chase Bowden have worked on numerous tracks and albums for east coast musicians, as well as created promotional videos for artists and small businesses.
