Since I was twelve years old I have been standing on one stage or another. From childhood school songs through the folk music era of the 1960's and the rock and roll of the seventies I have been constantly playing and performing. During the late sixties along with playing rock and roll I helped form several folk music clubs in Wales. Playing solo gigs as one of the many folk musicians at that time, I grew to love the tunes I had learned as a kid growing up, little did I know I would be still playing them. Now, one would think that after fifty years of doing this I'd be totally burned out, wrong, I feel like I'm just starting over. My music and my performance is better than ever, I guess with age comes a stronger sense of responsibility to the craft. The root’s of my music is in traditional Irish folk, I’m sure my Irish great grandmother would be proud of me. Many of the songs I perform began at my junior school during the fifties; it was all part of the daily school routine in Wales.
