Many genres of music, such as Gospel, Contemporary Christian, Jazz, Pop, Rock, and R&B have influenced and inspired Connie's vocal style. Connie appeals to a broad range of listeners with her multi-styles. Track 1 (Favored) with its contemporary sound, reminds you to praise God always because you are blessed and highly favored. You can take a long drive while enjoying the smooth jazz of track 6 (Meditate) and be reminded of the wonders and mighty works of an awesome God. Then, on track 8 (God's Army) she will remind you who our enemy is and how to stand against him. Just to give you a little background, Connie has sung with various choirs and groups, background for DOA, Wunah Productions and the 90's R & B group, Guy. Her production team includes Jacque La Rue (former lead singer of "La Rue" on King Jay/RCA Records). Connie has showcased her talent at numerous events, such as the Edwin and Walter Hawkins Music & Arts Love Fellowship Conference in Tokyo, Japan and locally at the Radisson Hotel. Connie was also honored to perform at the Narada Michael Walden Benefit Concert for Angela Bofill in San Francisco, CA. Connie shared the stage with industry legends, Carlos Santana, Bonnie Raitt, and Mary Wilson of The Supremes. Connie has also sung with various choirs and groups, such as The Holy Cry Experience, and the 90’s R & B group, Guy. As part of the Holy Cry Experience, Connie has performed at Spirit West Coast in Monterey CA, and the group has performed two sold out concerts at the regal Crest Theater in Sacramento. She has been invited to and has performed as a solo artist at Berean’s Christian Store and The Bridge Christian Book Store, both in Sacramento, CA and Borders Books in Roseville, CA. Connie has been featured at the Bobby Jones Gospel Conference in Miami, FL, the Gospel Announcers Guild (GAG) in Seattle, WA, the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) in St. Louis, MO, the Urban Gospel Alliance (UGA) in Riverside, CA, the GAG event in Richmond, VA, the GAG event in Chicago, IL, and the GAG event in San Antonio, TX. She has been invited to appear and has headlined twice at The African American Holy Ghost Conference in Medford, OR. Connie has shared her beautiful ministry at the Annual Gospel Superfest hosted by Gospel Announcer Tommie Goss of Radio Station 103.5 in Sacramento, CA, the Annual Pastor Appreciation Breakfast sponsored by Radio Station KFIA, the 20th Annual Stellar Awards Praise Break in Houston, TX, and she has recorded music for the Tears of Hope Project, which benefits children with AIDS. Connie is the recipient of Gospel Music’s Rising Star Award, which she received at the 4th Annual Sounds of Soul Awards. She was also nominated and then received the most votes to take home the statue for Favorite Gospel Artist (Female) at the Central Valley Stammy Awards. Along with a successful career in the Health Insurance field, Connie is a dedicated and key member of the Praise and Worship Team at Bayside Church of South Sacramento and she has raised four (almost grown) children as a single parent. Her children understand and support Connie in her ministry. They realize the beauty and importance of their Mother’s gift and they are happy to share her with the world.
