Sequences I is a work for chamber ensemble and electronics. It is music of tremendous energy and depth, and is composed for an ensemble of clarinet, cello, piano, harp, and vibraphone. To this are added electronic music sequences, based on sound samples from the ensemble, that are initiated in real-time according to performance cues. The superb concert performance by members of the Ensemble Intercontemporain completely realizes the composer's vision.
