Breaking and Entering is a album about pain. Even though Kirk lived the street life, it isn't about guns and death. He caustiously tells his tale and offers warnings to up and comers in the game. Kirk speaks about his relationship with God, his relationship with his dead brother, his relationship with incarcerated father and his new born daughter. The pain of Kirk himself is felt through his music. You might not have been through what he has been through, but you can easily relate to him because everyone has pain. His music isn't about guns, girls, cars, or money. Whatever Kirk does not have or has not been through, he does not speak of. He only raps about what he knows and makes sure to keep it that way.
