My stage name Paul Payne837 which comes from the book of Romans 8:37 "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" and my names Penyani Paul Phiri. It all started when I was about 14 years old, when I fell deeply in love with Hip-Hop which gave me that strong passion for it. The culture and the life style grabbed me like a little child on the hand, so I started following blindly, a life of darkness, lies, envy and hate is what became a daily thing. The culture changed me and my life turned in a way no one was pleased with, money on my mind and chasing after girls. I even started cursing I thought that was life but I was lying to myself. God had a plan for me whilst I was listening to the radio, I accidentally bumped into radio christian voice the station I did not like at all. There was a show which was hosted by Abel Chungu Musuka called the new generation where Christian Hip-hop used to play, just there the songs simply ministered to me, and i was like what kind of music is this with the name of Jesus in it? The music was clean and it was not self praising but it was praising God. Then at the end of the show there was a prayer of deliverance, of which i prayed along with. Even though it wasn't easy but with God I managed to conquer through him who loved us. My aim is to preach out the Gospel to the lost souls cause God didn't come for the believers but the sinners. My vision is to see Hell empty and Heaven full. I thank God for this gift of music and am going to use it to glorify him.
