It is with great pleasure that Phunky Rabbit Records presents this little beauty. The Prodigal Sons consist of Phunky Rabbit co-owner Bjarne Sorum and Chris Angel. Here Bjarne shows off his production skills to the max with a solid house background drop which Chris then gives us a real taste of his session musician status on top with some delightful piano, sax and rhythm guitar parts. Janine entered the UK music scene a few years back now with her debut album Strength Wisdom and Growth which is an absolute classic and well worth having in your collection. She was introduced to the house music scene by Phunky Rabbit's other co-owner Malc East with whom she co-wrote the track Spotlight for Malc's Placidic Dream outfit. This was a success and since then she has gone on to do quite a few house tracks on various labels all of which have done extremely well. In early June 2012 Janine hit the No.1 spot on the Traxsource soul charts with the Cool Million track, We Can Work It Out. Here she gives us a pure soulfully sublime vocal, showing off once more her unique style. We are looking forward to doing more work with her on the label in the future. On the remixes first up we have the Sandro Valentino remix. Here Sandro absolutely smashes it. He uses the vocal really well with sample snippets which weave around the track in a really cool way. Sandro is on fire at the moment and his mixes are getting repeated radio play worldwide. Next we have the Manyus mix. Manyus is a firm favourite of the label and his recent track with Andrea Love is nothing short of brilliant. Here his expert production techniques shine through with a solid backdrop for Janine's vocal. Next we are so pleased that Niall Redmond and Rob Hayes got together to give us a dub remix of the track. There is some superb piano going on in this mix which I am sure you will all enjoy. Last but never least is the BB White Silk Mix. BB is another firm favourite of the label. He gives us some really cool percussion on the intro which leads into a really moody Rhodes piano part which fits so well with the feel of the track. Some funky guitar work then takes us to a superb trumpet solo. We at Phunky Rabbit Records want to thank everybody involved with the package and we hope you all will enjoy the mixes.
