Templeton and his newly formed band 'Universe', have put together this new album called 'Between Lies'. It takes the listener down that red-pill, rabbit hole of truth, lies and self awakening. As the saying goes, "The truth will set you free but it will piss you off first", well this pretty much sums up the undercurrent of the album. The best way to describe the Templeton Universe frequency would be to take the following ingredients: Distill the carefully constructed sounds of Zero 7, add the intensity of Radiohead (with a dash of raunchy Muse), mix this with the mournful yet melodic twang of Rufus Wainwright — not forgetting the innocence of Elliott Smith — and you'll have an idea of the TU sound. We are completely devoted to bringing you raw, real, cosmic music for the discerning soul who craves integrity and heart in what they listen to. We don't believe in boxing ourselves, so we often experiment with new sounds and techniques making our music a cut above the rest — or, at least, the mainstream version of what's out there today. Templeton (Michael) is at the heart and soul of the band — he writes and performs vocals for all the songs as well as plays the guitar (lead, rhythm and acoustic), keyboards and produces TU (which is really handy having a sound engineer as the captain!). Templeton also performed most of the bass on this album with the exception of 'Never Seen' and 'The Betrayal' which was constructed and performed by the newly appointed bass guitarist, Cherie Roe Dirksen.
