1. Synchronize (Original Mix) Thom V, a rising tech-progressive producer from Holland, presents his newest single release on Echelon. The original mix of Synchronize begins with minimal style dry percs and echos, soon to be accompanied by arising deep strings. The main theme, a roving syncopated style melody, presents itself and subtly joins the intro elements, then vanishes, and reappears in a cycle throughout the song. Instead of one massive middle break to divide the track, the original mix has two dramatic string breaks closer to the beginning and the end, a nice contrast for the main parts in this tightly and coherently structured track. Theme development is based on variations of the main theme, additive melodies and sounds. A great tune for deep progressive sets. 2. Synchronize (Melvin Spix Remix) Whereas the original mix could be described as deeply wallowing, the Melvin Spix Remix has a somewhat harder, rawer sound. Based on a variation of the main theme, the remix builds up nicely until the breakdown with the accompaniment of tight percs and spacey sounds. The break then lifts off with another theme variation by a lead synth, and kicks off with a massive, upbeat horn sound that was flashed shortly in the beginning. After a loud solo passage, the melodies of the beginning return and join the horn, to give the track a final go before the outro begins. 3. Synchronize (Ima'gin Remix) The Ima'gin Remix is the most melodic of the tracks in this release. It is based as well on the main theme of the original, yet with rather radical variation. The theme is carried by spacey synth chords and coupled with a muffled upbeat lead theme. The remix follows a different chord progression to the break, which again is borrowed and altered from the original. The track lifts off for the second part and releases a bright pearly lead, in dialogue with the muffled one. This release will be available exclusively on Beatport starting from 11th August, 2009.
