Erick Matthews was introduced to the industry by John P Kee in 1996. The first song he was featured on was John's V.I.P project "Stand" on the title cut "Let us Praise and Worship Him", which went gold the first 6 months of it’s release. Also in 1996 a "Special Christmas Gift" was released , he was featured on the songs entitled "Oh Holy Night", "Silent Night", and "Perfect Plan". 1997 Erick's first solo project "Friend 4 Always" was released on New Life/Verity records, and well received by the industry, with 2 stellar nominations for Male Vocalist of the year contemporary and Best New Artist. Erick was featured on the next project released by John P.Kee and New Life in 1998 "Strength” which won multiple stellars. Song “Come in the house”. That same year he was featured on his sister’s debut album Drea Randle's “Ooo Wee" produced by John Kee. In the year of 2000 Erick went in the studio to work on his sophomore project entitled "No Fear In Me" released in 2001 on Crystal Rose Records. He received 5 Excellent Award nominations and 2 Stellar nominations. After touring and being featured on cd project's for Ben Tankard, William Becton, Prime Minister, Drea Randle, M.C Hammer and a number of underground artist. In 2007 Erick released his third solo project entitled "Life Captured". The project features Charese Nicole, Drea Randle, and BBJ with production by Erick Matthews and super producer Alvin Garrett. Now he's back with a brand new single entitled "Power" following that he will release his new cd TBA. After starting a ministry in 2011 “Word Worship Center” until present, Pastor desires to use his other gifts that God has given him.
