Contemporary pianist and guitarist, Jonathan Reid was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He moved to the United States over a decade ago and now resides in the Midwest. Influenced by his Celtic roots, his music blends traditional music with modern technology. Jonathan started playing piano at the age of seven and received his first electronic keyboard at eleven. This started his life long passion for experimenting with the layers and textures of music. He has been composing music for over twenty years and although Tapestry is his first release, it is a lifetime in the making. Aptly named, Jonathans first album weaves rich colors of melody and complex underlying patterns of sound into a cloth of music that wraps listeners in its warm fibers.
