Even in places as far away and distinct from the Caribbean as Scandinavia, the spark of Soca caught fire and caused a heatwave among music lovers. The Swedish band Soca Rebels from Gothenburg has been around since 1990 playing Soca and Calypso and promoting the culture of Trinidad & Tobago. This LP was manufactured in Barbados and released in Trinidad & Tobago for Carnival 1994 where it got good airplay aswell. With two additional bonus tracks, both from 1991, this album can be considered as a true milestone for Soca music worldwide. Welcome to a party hearty!
