There’s still a lot of great old American popular and roots music you don’t get to hear so much these days, and the Sleepwalkers - Brian Harrison, Mike Lockwood and John Edwards - are dedicated to dusting it down and getting it back out there. So we have arranged a selection of classic songs and instrumentals, from 1920 to about 1960, for string band. We feature fine Martin, vintage Gibson, Santa Cruz and Collings acoustic guitars, acoustic and National Resophonic RM-1 mandolins, Ode bluegrass banjo, original National Tricone and Gibson electric steel guitars, and double bass. Yes, we can resonate! The varied sounds and styles range from early country blues, through tin pan alley songs, Hawaiian, jazz, western swing and bluegrass, and come bang up to date (well for us, anyway) with acoustic rock-outs of Chuck Berry and our own very special brand of surfgrass.
