Producing a CD takes a lot of work. After writing the material, I needed a team to pull it all together. Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California provided a terrific venue and a great nine-foot grand piano. Frank Rinella is a superb engineer (this is our twelfth album together) and I can always count on him to make me sound good. My wife, Marti, has been my loyal producer and now also designs the cover art. And, of course, I needed a great vocalist and turned again to Jody Cook who is a joy work with. She did such a fabulous job on our first album together that I wrote these songs especially with her in mind. There are eleven songs in a variety of styles. Are you ready to celebrate a major event ? – then “Let’s Have a Party” will set the mood. Are you sometimes exasperated with life or your partner? – then try “You’re Impossible” or “Why Is That?” Feeling a little blue? – listen to “Somewhere There’s A Place For Me”, or “I’ve Had A Good Life. Or grab something upbeat with “Smiles Are For Everybody”, “The Happy Samba” or “Big Bad Billy Blues”. “Fuzzy’s Golden Christmas” will give kids a new holiday story and don’t miss the surprise at the end with “Nice And Easy” (The NOT About SEX Song). We hope that you, the listener, will find listening to these songs as much fun as we had doing them.
