I begun to think about interesting possibilities that a synthesis between a rock and a classical music could open, since my mid-teens, shortly after joining a school rock band. I expected that rock music in general would go into that direction. It didn't happen. Up to date there has been a very limited number of works that feature such a synthesis, such a melt of classic and rock music created. Well, many years later I've got a chance to explore that way myself - and also to add some ethnic elements into the mix. It's been a great fortune, a great luck for me to get a copy of magnificent poem 'Vague Nostalgia' written by Sergey Shalimov. A story of year-long pilgrimage of Buddhist llama, 'Vague Nostalgia' has inspired me to start my own, much longer music journey towards the place where the borders between styles and genres disappear. 'Vague Nostalgia' has been a labor of love for me, with all the pain, all the joy, and all the hard work associated with the process of creation. I could only hope you will enjoy the results.
