The past three years has seen Michael Weston King, and The Good Sons, touring all over Europe and America, sharing the bill with many great artists (Nick Cave, Steve Earle, Roger McGuinn, Chris Hillman, John Cale, Rodney Crowell, Guy Clark, Joe Ely, Wilco, and Ron Sexsmith amongst many others) and earning a formidable reputation as a stunning live attraction, whether it be the full-on, no holds barred country-rockin’ of The Good Sons, or the stark, intensity of the solo, singer songwriter performances which have seen Michael compared to some his favourite performers....Tim Hardin and Phil Ochs . Added to this is his growing reputation as a songwriter of the highest calibre, who has seen his songs covered by a number of established artists. The highest compliment coming when one of the worlds greatest songwriters, Townes Van Zandt, cut a version of Michael’s song “Riding The Range”. Spring, 2002 sees the release of "Live...In Dinky Town"... a solo, live album (his sixth) that focuses solely on his stark, singer songwriter performances. A stripped to the bare bones affair highligthing Michael at his most intimate!
