简介
"If you like speed metal then you're going to like these songs! Hard and aggressive drums and shredding guitar! They'll definitely make you want to headbang! If you haven't heard these songs then you are missing out! Give it up for Michael Mackert! -Danny Bollwahn (Drummer for "On Wings Of Hope") The guitarist brings more driving influences into play than average thrash metal riff. Michael's songs aren't just about shredding. It's an American guitar instrumental songs. The influence of bands such as Metallica, Marty Friedman, X Japan. - KAY (Salems Lott) The opening to Masquerade catches your attention from the beginning of the song, with its guitar work highly reminiscent of, yet not copying, Anthem's "Venom Strike" and "Hunting Time." It has a very suspenseful vibe - kind of like something that would play in a spy film or an epic chase scene, being very fast-paced and yet smooth - listening to it, I thought of "this kind of reminds me of Mission Impossible or James Bond." The guitar work is one of the most brilliant points of Psychedelic Messiah as well, as it truly stands out as the song's main strength, though the drums are close, and both form a song that is one of the most unique and interesting I've heard in visual kei/heavy metal in a long while. That's actually complimenting it - such words might seem sarcastic - but I'm being absolutely sincere - so many visual kei and metal songs and riffs both sound the same now, and this song sounds like something new, something that doesn't make me go "which band is that, I've heard it before." I haven't heard this before, and I really like it - I can't wait to hear more. -Seth Moore- I really liked Masquerade. It comes at you quickly with a fun thrashy riff. The chorus grows and the song doesn't drag, there's lots of energy. Psychedelic Messiah feels very full, I love the drum intro. It makes me really want to see this played live with a full band. I could see these songs going over really well with an audience. The harmony guitar work in Psychedelic Messiah reminds me a lot of X Japan, which I know Michael and I both draw inspiration from. I'd love to hear more of that. -Nina Osegueda
