简介
Charles Lamont I was the keyboardist, lead singer and main songwriter in "Alexanders' Timeless Bloozband" based in Santa Barbara Ca. The Bloozband, opened for the Doors and Janis Joplin, Paul Butterfield and others. Unlike the aforementioned music icons, I am still alive and playing music for a living. I consider myself very lucky to have had the life I've had. The Bloozband signed with Uni Records - a division of MCA - in the late 60's. I did a second solo album for Uni " A Legend in His Own Mind". Tom Scott and other great players were on it. Neil Diamond and Bill Cosby were Uni artisis at the time. The solo album got some airplay and things looked promising until Uni’s promotional focus was turned to their new discovery - Elton John. Next came a stint in another Uni act -”Medicine Ball” led by Dewey Martin, the drummer with the Buffalo Springfield. Soon after that I played with and wrote tunes for “Geronimo Black” featuring ex- Mothers of Invention members Jimmy Carl Black and Bunk Gardner . I did more than a dozen dance singles for JDC records as producer, writer and occasionally artist . Since the 90's I've been writing, producing, playing and occassionally singing on songs for network TV. The tunes have been on CBS NBC ABC FOX Showtime, Lifetime etc. and have been played around the world. I've performed with blues greats Etta James, T Bone Walker Sr. and Magic Sam. Live engagements have included the Monterrey Blues Festival and performances in Switzerland and Germany
