Thoughts from PG : In April I'm 50 years old. This album is a milestone for me. It is a dream comes true. I have for years seen myself as a singer / songwriter. I have spent very much time on this. There are a lot of therapy and energy into the creative part of music. After many years in the game, this is a new spring for me. This album contains 16 songs that I've worked hard on over the last few years. The songs represent the whole range of styles I like, and that has influenced me throughout my life. I have in the recent years gained a personal musical confidence,and a great opportunity to work with top musicians. I will in this context mention John Beland, who is the producer and main musician on this album. This cooperation has now gone over several years. It has given me so much inspiration and pleasure. I realized that this was a man who could draw things up in the top division. His musical understanding, knowledge, skills and friendship have fit like a glove. He is a perfectionist, and everything he works on he makes to a top professional level. Lucky me! Maybe it was meant to be! I have in the recent years also developed many aspects about life, faith and trials. This will recognize in the lyrics. One of the most important words in my mind these last years has been and still is honesty. Honesty can be tough and challenging, but is in the long run the only platform that counts. Today I have one rule. I have allowed everything but not everything is suitable. I must, in other words be responsible for my life and my choices. There is something liberating with this. I am no longer very bound by what other people might think. I hope the lyrics on this album hit something in your life stage. They depict both thoughts about faith, doubt and despair, but also pleasure and blessing. I would also like to thank two other good friends and great musicians who have contributed to this album: Arild Hobbesland and Thor Einar Ribe I will stretch out to my two closest. My two girls, Pia and Petrine I love you from the depths of my heart. I want to thank all of my friends for both musical and human Inspiration. You mean so much to me. Producer's notes... I've known Per for quite a while now. We've worked together on many sessions, beginning with the very successful PG & FRANK CD "Chasing The Wind" a few years back, which scored high on the top ten radio charts..... much to our surprise and delight. As an artist / songwriter Per blends a mixture total honesty and real life experiences with very clever and commercial song crafting. As one who has written hit's, I have to say how impressed I am at the professional level of Per's material. He writes like a pro and when I have material like that to work with, it makes my job as a player and a producer so much easier and so much more fun. Now let me tell you about the man I'm proud to call my friend. From the very first time I met he and Frank, at a gig we were doing together, I was struck by his sincerity and kindness. He was simply a nice guy to hang out with. But after getting to know him I, like many others, have been astounded at his big heart and an amazing ability to deal with situations that would normally overwhelm most anyone else. All this stems from his deep faith and trust in the man upstairs. To be his friend is to be inspired. To be his friend is to be blessed. It's been an honor and a blessing for me to produce this terrific collection of songs of Per's. If there's such a thing as "commercial honesty" this CD is it. It will touch your heart and it will make you jump up and dance. Most of all it will make you feel good...and after all is said and done, isn't that what music is really all about? Enjoy!
