简介

Welcome to Cleveland, Ohio, 'The Heart of it All', centermost music capital of the mid-west. Home of the Cleveland's #1 rap group, Tha GoodFellaz on the world's #1 record label... 'Foreseen Legends'. Now that I've gotten your attention... Adjust your glasses, clean your contacts and strap in because you're goin' on a journey of how it all began. The GoodFellaz are Sleep and Dubb. Sleep is a man of vision, producer, writer and artist whom moved back home in 1997 to pursue a music career after serving in the U.S. Navy. Sleep has produced as well as performed on a nationally released album by Family Affiliated' titled 'It's Our Time'. His production can also be heard on one of Cleveland's local recording artist's Romey Rome's album. Sleep's grimey style of rap puts you in the mind of Fiend, mixed with a little bit of Mystical and the lyrical styles of Trick Daddy. His southern style of rap combined with Dubb's chemistry will prove to be one half of the greatest group to ever hit the streets. Dubb is the charismatic strength of the group. Widely known for his gold grill, he is also a strong writer and artist. Dubb has performed with the Gold album selling, National recording artists 'Poetic Hustlas' on the song 'The Land'. His rugged matter-of-fact type style will put you in the mind of 8-Ball, Scarface and/or a little Mr. Mike. He has also dabbled in the production by co-producing one of the tracks on Tha GoodFellaz album entitled 'Comin' down'. This is just another reason why the chemistry of these two beasts is simply untouchable. The two, crossed paths in 1998 when they along with several other artists formed the group 'Higher Life'. An EP was released and made noise on the streets. The group eventually separated and went their own ways. After hearing the 'Higher Life' project another record label, 'KamKam' wanted to sign Sleep and Dubb. Thus, Tha GoodFellaz were born. Although they had recorded many songs, rocked many shows and had plenty of promotion, the record label dragged their feet on releasing an album. In comes 'Foreseen Legends'...Tony Jordan and David Murphy (a.k.a. Yo' Boy Meer). They'd heard the work of Tha GoodFellaz and Meer had even worked with them from time to time. They had come with an unbelievable offer, and a union was formed. Within 6 months a 'Hit Factory' mastered single 'This is How We Roll' was not only pressed up and packaged but also regularly played by some of Cleveland's hottest DJ's in all of Cleveland's hottest night clubs. As a group they've opened up shows for 'Ja Rule, LL Cool J, Obie Trice, D-12, Beenie Seagal, Freeway, Cam'ron, Killa Priest, Big Daddy Kane, J.T. Money, Lil' Flip and done after party's for Cash Money. There was also a great turnout for their own release party on August 9,2002 at the Mirage on the Water in Cleveland, Ohio. Tha GoodFellaz are a memorable group with excellent stage presence. They know how to work a crowd and their music can rock a crowd or just simply make love to your woofers and tweeters. They have a music library of 50-60 songs together. They chose what the public considered to be the best and created 'GoodFella Livin', The first album of many to be released by this very talented dynamic duo. Their style of rap will be loved by pimps, gangstas, hustlaz, and partygoers alike. But in my opinion, I'd have to agree with Tony Jordan when he says, "How can anyone NOT like this album?"
