Three are the basic axes around which we move. In the beginning there was… Bach. Of course, we don̕ t just mean the composer himself, but all this musical primal matter on which we were taught our instruments, and to which we always come back to learn again or to learn what we hadn̕t learned properly the first time around. The second axis is what we call experience. The kind of music that, upon hearing or playing, brings you back memories, flavors, aromas, images and colors, from the eternal past or the embryonic future, as is the case with the Cursed Snake and Manos Ηadjidakis. Last but not least, modern music. Music that is being written and performed now. We chose The Phantom of Marseille and we are sure of this choice. These are the traces we follow and these are the traces we want to leave behind too. Nine guitarists took part in this recording. The two songs on the Cursed snake are performed by Anna Sarjidou, who also plays percussion and the recorder on this section.
