简介
Arjay's freshman solo album, "Love Strong" is fifteen tracks of pure R&B that explore the dimensions of love and lust in its many colors: "Love Strong" – The title track is about about being there for the one you love through thick and thin. When she is at her weakest, you will be there to make her strong. This is a great Tyrant beat with lush strings. "Overdrive" – A track dedicated to those women who are living life too fast, lost in the club scene and unaware how quickly life is passing them by. This is backed by a huge up-tempo beat with strong drums and a unique driving character. "Shorty Got A Thing" – This song explains what it’s like to have a woman infatuated with you and your lifestyle although she is married. The beat has a swagged out pop synth feel with great drum work. "Touch" – A track describing the burning desire to share a sexual experience with the one you love. Backed by a sexy, romantic beat with live guitar work and featuring a sizzling guitar solo that is perfect for making babies. "She Wants To Love Me" – Describes the struggle a woman has with loving a certain man and sharing his swanky lifestyle but hating how he makes his money. Bosco provides a dark hip-hop beat with edgy drums and a grimy use of synths. "Patiently Waiting" – A story about being in love with a woman already in a relationship with a guy that lavishes her with material things but ignores her emotional needs. This beat has a strong percussive feel with some vocal samples for texture. "Life Of The Party" – Self-explanatory. This is a party boasting song that lets you know what it’s like to be the toast of the party and live a rock-star lifestyle. The beat is a swagged out with catchy synth work and a strong melody. "Lover" – A romantic ode dedicated to my beautiful wife and step-son. This is a sparse pulsating beat with a strong kick and a sexy romantic feel. "So Sexy" – Here, I’m boasting how super sexy my girl is and just how much hotter she is than any other woman in the club. An up-tempo beat and driving progression with heavy synths to create a club feel that makes you just want to dance. "Shake Ya Waist" – A party track singing out to the ladies here in the club, looking good, feeling good and knowing how to shake their waist. This track has big drums, rich synths and a driving feel that makes for a hypnotic experience. "Hood Love" – Explores what a love relationship is like in the hood culture. Tells how sticking by your man through all his mess-ups proves you love, understand and forgive him more than anyone else ever could or would; a testament to unconditional love. This is a minimalist beat with light synth work and lots of open space. "Drift Away" – Written during a hard time in my love life. This song explores how communicating can be tough, creating resentments and pain until finally the decision is made to separate. But then, anguish replaces anger, and you remember what it was you loved about her after all. You long for her to come back to work things out. This track moves away from the album’s more upbeat songs. It features deeply emotive live acoustic guitar work and lots of lush harmony. "Learn II Appreciate" – A song written about finally having taken enough of someone’s crap and deciding you want to be appreciated or you are going to move on. This track reaches in a jazzy direction while remaining grounded in R&B with its funky bass line. Live guitars and brilliant piano give an earthy, smoky club feel. "Street Life" – This song is close to my heart and written during a very tough time in my life. An intimate look at the struggle that comes with growing up poor in unhealthy surroundings. You yearn for something better, but have to face the fact that you may never be able to break away from the street. A slow, deep beat with beautiful guitar work. "Club On Fire" – This song is dedicated to that one in the club that sets the whole place on fire. The beat is huge with great bass, beautiful strings and catchy breaks. It has a dark overall vibe, yet maintains a pop feel.
