This song was a collaboration effort of Yvonne Wall and Carolyn McDonald, both busy mothers of 5 children each that love to creative projects to work on. This song was born from an earlier creative project written by Carolyn, that included a collection of stories from women in history bearing testimony of Christ. Yvonne took the section written about Mary the mother of Christ and used it as a springboard for a Christmas song. After the first verse and chorus were written, she invited Carolyn to help her finish the song. Another friend, Jan Astle (also mother of 5) had painted a beautiful portrayal of Mary being visited by Gabriel, so the art was a shoe-in for the project which ultimately became a small booklet containing a story written by Carolyn, a CD with the song performed by Yvonne and the artwork, painted by Jan.
