Cephas (Sypion McCullom) was "born by the river", in Mcomb MS, but moved to Los Angeles at the age of 3 and has live there since. Cephas only began doing anything musical 4 & 1/2 years ago after he purchased a guitar on a whim. "It just came so naturally for me. I feel like I was born to play music and speak to the world." He currently is attending UCLA and studying to obtain a degree in Ethnomusicology. "Universal Seed" (UnSUNG Music Label) is the new album. You will hear Cephas sing & play guitar, Rhodes piano, bass, drums, and percussion on an album that is a lethal cocktail of Soul, Rock, Gospel, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Funk.

The sound of Universal Seed is just as the title suggests…. Universal.
