Michael Sean Harris has been redefining the meaning of live music in and around Kingston’s hot spots performing an eclectic mix of musical and theatrical styles which he has also taken to the Caribbean, USA and the UK. Michael Sean Harris Harris has been trained in acting, movement and choral singing and studied piano, voice and viola privately. Thus he is very qualified for the various roles he has played being a member of The Little People and Teen Players Club and a founding member of Ashe Caribbean Performing Arts Ensemble. A seasoned performer, he toured Europe for three years after leaving Berklee College of Music in Boston. He recently thrilled the audience at the 11th staging of the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival with his alternative Jamaican musical style.Harris is a full time lecturer at the Jamaica School of Music at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. He lectures in the areas of Pop/Jazz voice and Jazz harmony and has recently co-written a music technology course for the school’s degree programme.His love for music and its various forms has seen him becoming a primary consultant with the Digicel Rising Stars Talent Competition, acting as performance coach for all the selected artistes. He also works closely with the creative team with song selection and overall creative choices. In 2007 Michael released Moonshine Darlin which got heavy rotation not only in Jamaica but also the Caribbean.
