Since the age of 4, I've sung and recorded music. And, I always knew that I loved video cameras; however, I was too busy making a "practical" living in finance and business management. Two years ago, all that changed. I let my CPA license expire and leaped off the cliff to pursue media ministry full time through TV and film production. I had been volunteering as a producer and host for a TV talk show for several years, and took the chance last year to produce my first feature film called "SINGLE CREEK." Many people wonder why I chose to produce a film about single adults. I can only tell you that I felt compelled with the thought of the great need for encouragement. I looked for films about single adults, and only found 2; but, to be honest, I didn't find them very inspirational. There are nearly 100 million single adults now living in the US, representing nearly half of all households. That's staggering. That's a lot of lonely adults: never-marrieds, divorced, single parents, widows and people struggling with same-sex attraction. You see, I went through a divorce several years ago, and so I know what disillusionment and broken dreams feel like. That old enemy called "Loneliness" still knocks on my door, just like he crashes in on your life at times also. I want to thank the musicians who took their time and effort to work with me on the recording of this soundtrack music. Larry Culey has recorded several piano solo CDs over the years, as well as many vocal tracks. But, in addition to adding his awesome musical talents and co-writing a song with me, he along with other musicians Karla Salazar, Sebastion Zalidibar and Jeremy Haynes, all appear in the film, sharing powerful insights on the subject of singleness. To be able to produce a film and a music soundtrack all in less than 12 months is just amazing to me. If you believe in God, then you will know it was a miracle after you see the film and listen to this album. The responses we're getting from married people, Christian leaders and yes, single adults too, is confirming to us that this project was way bigger than me and my good friend and associate producer, Randy Magray. I truly thank and honor God for what He has done through my voice, hands and feet over this last year. May you find a new reason to believe that there is a Creator that not only made you, and sustains your life, but loves you with a passionate love. That love is the ONLY love that will complete you, whether you are married or single. And may the heart-moving stories, awkward moments, laughter and tears shared in this film and music bring you hope. That's all I wish for.
