Bill is a fan of Jazz and Popular music. He says a friend told him some time ago that "music has no categories, it's just music", which he believes. Very true, but marketing doesn't see it that way. So, Bill has assembled New Slues (album) to span the Pop side of the Jazz spectrum. Pop in nature, with a touch of jazz and an unconventional approach to melody and delivery that will keep you listening till the end. Music for music lovers is who this album is for. From the first track" Mornin' Move" that will get you movin' in the morning, to "New Slues" that will keep you tapping your feet unconsciously, to "In Our World" that blends keyboards and strings together to simulate church bells, for what could be a new classic. "Before.." is a sax lament of maybe a love gone bad. It only has percussions, keyboard chords and the sax. To end the album, it closes with "Monster", a walk down a path that is seldom taken in Jazz, fun stuff. So, sit back, close your eyes, feel the flow and let Bill guide you through his musical thoughts. Oh, and what does 'New Slues' mean? I don't know, and Bill's not telling, yet.
