Every song on "Mommas Rose" is rooted in a real experience. Momma's Rose was planted at 5018 Moravian Street in Corpus Christi, Texas, a stones throw from the freeway. "If I Told You", "Too Much Heartache For One Man", "She'll Decide", "No More Pain", and "The Devil In Her Heart" were all written about the imotions bound up in relationships past and present at the time. My sister Sharon wrote a poem about her breakup with her husband which became "Sentimenal Fool" . "Daddies and Their Little Girls" was written for my sweet smart and beautiful daughter Cindy when she was colledge bound, "Everybody's Got A Hook In My Song" was a light hearted jab the music industry and "Simple Times" is Wistful/
