A melodic pop rock quartet currently based out of California's South Bay, Velvet Goldmine is a band who's sound is comfortingly familiar, yet still altogether unique. The four friends, all working together as equal parts of a well-engineered machine, each contribute to and compliment the distinct sound that the group has developed. While funky-fresh bassist Fritz and ice cold drummer CanaDave form the backbone of the band, laying down head-noddin' rhythms for super-slick guitarist Phil Verduzco to nestle his precise and well-balanced licks atop, it is singer/frontman/all around great guy Preston Black, who's soaring vocal progressions and huge, anthemic sound, really leave crowds in awe.
