简介
In 1810 when Indian-born Sake Dean Mahomed opened the first Curry House in London, little did he realize that he had set in motion the start of our nation’s love of Indian food. Over two hundred years later our intrepid chef sets off on this his latest BBC 2 series: `RICK STEIN`S INDIA`. Rick travels to the sub-continent to discover new and exciting curry dishes to bring home and tempt the millions of British Curry Lovers. Meanwhile in a London recording studio, Crocodile Music’s Creative Director, Malcolm Ironton was also embarking on a journey. Malcolm’s task was to create the musical soundtrack for the series. The music that Malcolm and his musicians have created for this series reflects the wide diversity of ethnic influences from the various regions of India that Rick visited. The series soundtrack cleverly blends the traditional pulsating rhythms of Indian music with the underlying influences of western popular melody. So, whether you are in Bradford or Bollywood- why not` *rock up to` an Indian restaurant tonight and order a *Ruby Murray, enjoy your meal and later sit back and listen to the sounds of `RICK STEIN’S INDIA`. • Ruby Murray 1935 - 1996.
