Eric Doney is one of Dave Brubeck's favorite pianists, and this enjoyable holiday CD should make him one of yours, too. There's a touch of small-town gospel in many of his imaginative arrangements. His unusual voicings on "We Three Kings" and "Little Drummer Boy" are refreshing. He incorporates the bassline from "All Blues" into "My Favorite Things." A nice surprise is his inclusion of Bill Evans' lovely "My Bells"; this breathtaking version should encourage other musicians to include it in their holiday gigs. ~ Ken Dryden, All Music Guide
