He was raised In Lakeland,Florida by his mother, and never knew his father as he was absent in his life. The Soulchaysa graduated from Lakeland High School and completed one year of Real Estate School at Bob Hogue Real Estate School. After spending time rapping and working with local artists doing local gigs, Lamar moved to New York in 2004 to pursue his music career full time.
