简介
Continuing a tradition of singing blues-rock lead guitarists, this recording pays tribute and homage to Jimi Hendrix while looking toward the future of the electric guitar as a lead instrument. Hendrix dealt with his Manic Depression playfully with music, his recording of this song is like a beacon of hope for the lonely artist. Nick Garrett-Powell is a musical recording artist and media professional from Southern Oregon. "Since I was 15 I've wanted to chime in with how music (sweet music) has guided and shaped my path and kept me sane while keeping me crazy. Thank you Jimi, you have the solidarity of the players who you inspired to play!" One of the true pioneers of slap guitar and 8-finger tapping as a legitimate lead guitar method, the classically trained Garrett-Powell also is proud to perform as a member of virtuoso acoustic guitar duo The Fret Drifters. Nick is proud to play Benavente Custom Instruments. Nick's signature guitar is a Strat-Tele hybrid with flat frets, in mahogany with flame maple top.
