Formed in 2012, 5 Dollar Shakes are a five piece alt rock band from Gorey, Co. Wexford. Their songs are full of the unbridled energy and enthusiasm associated with young men on the verge of entering their 20’s. The music draws on influences from indie, rock, pop, punk and dance, resulting in a powerful, but accessible sound. The band consists of Jack McEvoy (Vocals), Colin Doran (Lead guitar), Caleb Dowdall (Rhythm guitar), Richard Deering (Bass guitar) and Ciaran O’Doherty (Drums). 5DS' live shows are where their energy really comes to the fore. The dynamic stage presence can’t be ignored, and lead singer Jack’s infectious performance encourages the audience to shed their inhibitions!
