简介
Deep house and chillout for the dramatic wind down. Blue Visions is the collaboration of Karl Mohr with other artists, resulting in smooth, refreshing chill house, deep house, chillout, ambient good times music. This is commercial house music, perfect for the floor or the summer vacation. Keep your winter warm on the dancefloor, chill your ice cubes down in summer. Recorded and mixed in Vienna, Austria, this compilation of smooth dance tracks features the beautiful catlike voice of Chantal Thompson of the band Directions, on "Surely We" and "Desert Land". Heavy underground kickers with blissfully enchanting harmonies, the beautiful fusion of the dancefloor and the chillout room on blue vinyl. Karl Mohr on a chill house diet. Slightly darker and slightly edgier than the average chillout fare, but exquisitely composed and masterfully crafted. A sonic burbling treat with a cranking groove. Fits nicely into these collections: AMBIENT, CHILL HOUSE, DEEP HOUSE, TECH HOUSE, ELECTRONIC. Some reviews of the associated 12" single: ====== Review: KARL MOHR / 12" "Wassernixe" & "Froze Like Ice" / 2003 / Interdimensional Industries Karl Mohr is a relative newbie in the world of deephouse. This, his first 12" release definitely deserves recognition for an impressive first time. He describes his music as chilled house with an underground edge and a certain Detroit flavour. Side A, 'Wassernixe' is an intelligent collection of sounds, deep bass lines, plucky synth, deep solid beats and some soft warm keyboard action. Label side, 'Froze Like Ice' is darker than the the A side and marches along in the more minimal tech Detroit way, every so often breaking to allow a deeper, warmer feel take over. Indeed for a first timer the single offers music that is easy listening that can also lend itself very nicely to the dancefloor. Another amusing thing about this single is the crystal clear blue vinyl that it is pressed on, froze like ice indeed! Very modern sounding. Sort of like the sonic equivalent to space age furniture or something. Clean, washy, ambient goodness. Would expect this stuff to do really well in the club..." (DJ Bugs, Wien, Österreich) ====== Review: KARL MOHR / 12" "Wassernixe" & "Froze Like Ice" / 2003 / Interdimensional Industries Wassernixe: some oldskool deepness on this loopy track. Light, arpeggiated FM vibes all around; and a st.germain-ish bassline make for some easy listening; and it works well early in the night... looking forward to more!
