Emote Music label head Jacob Todd is back under his Whitespace moniker with two peak time techno tracks. Potent starts with a rolling bass line and builds with upbeat melodies and dark stabs. Trace is a harder edged track that weaves aggressive percussion together with frothy effects and melodies. Spanish duo Display FM are back on Emote to impart their signature sound on Potent. Intricate effects and percussion swirly around the original bass line creating a disorienting groove. Roy England completes the package with a remix of Trace that retains the edge of the original while adding a touch of funk and melody.
