There is no science, nor indeed alchemy, in formulating the musical roster for the Leigh Folk Festival. Each year the programme slowly accretes in subtly different ways, every festival taking on a distinctive life and identity of its own. A mixture of accident and happenstance, serendipity and discovery, old friends, new finds, international and local, flotsam and jetsam, all coming together in an idiosyncratic annual blend.
