Dear Friends, this album came together during the spring and summer of 2015 at Blue Cliff Monastery, with a few songs sent in from our friends around the world (Christian Bethelson from Liberia, Tabea Haffman from Germany, Darryl Purpose from Colorado and Joe Reilly from Michigan). We were especially lucky to Tomas Rodriguez from Brooklyn share his time, his musical talent and his expertise, and to have Chris Gartner from Toronto Master the CD beautifully. An extra special thanks to Sarah Dan Jones who donated rights to her song, "Meditation on Breathing" (arranged by Tomas R.) It was a delight to get to make music together as a community and we hope that it inspires you as much as it did for us! Tomas Rodriguez did most of the Lead Guitar tracks; Christ DiMeglio shone on the Trumpet; Brother Phap Linh and Vera Kardos lent their musicianship to Wishless, recorded at Plum Village in the summer of 2012; Julian Goetz joined us for the occasional violin and mandolin solo; Robert Hoover joined us for percussion; Brother Man offered the beautiful narration for Track 13; and Sr True Vow, Sr Ocean, Sr Samadhi, Sr Uu Bat, Sarah Martin, Chris DiMeglio, Erin Bullock, Nhu Mai Nguyen, Gabriela DeGolia, Thien Kim Truong, and Julian Goetz at one time or another joined for back-up vocals.
