Michael Rudolph Cummings is the vocalist/guitarist for the Small Stone Recordings band Backwoods Payback. Cummings's solo material is equally dark but subdued in volume and temperance, recalling the ditch-trilogy era of Neil Young and the slower moments of Townes Van Zandt.

This debut solo record "Get Low" features a variable who's who of east coast underground artists backing MRC on a variety of track. Members of All Else Failed, Hoots and Hellmouth, The Boils, Heavy Temple, Backwoods Payback and more help create a modern day take on the classic Harvest experience.
