Hello friends! I guess right about now you're probably listening to this CD and sheepishly looking around the room to see if it's okay to admit that you are enjoying it. Maybe you are pretending to be offended so your date won’t walk out on you. But I'm betting that you're having a good laugh and don’t give a crap what anyone thinks. You're probably either at a party, about to go to one, or threatening to throw one yourself! (I suggest several kegs and a BBQ). Inevitably during the course of listening to this CD the question will be asked "What the hell is King Con?" That's a good question, and to be honest, I don’t really know. One thing I can tell you is that it is a lot of fun. I guess for me it’s a combination of my love of rock & roll and comedy. I couldn’t really imagine one without the other. Just look at most of today’s “Serious Artists”. Most of them are unintentionally funnier than the comedies that play in your local theaters. Well, this is supposed to be funny and I truly believe it stacks up musically as well. To coin a cheesy phrase, this record is really coming straight form the heart. No posing, no bullshit, honest, plain and simple. The songs on this CD are pulled from moments and characters in my life. Things that have happened to me at parties, rock & roll shows and with ex-girlfriends. The remaining tunes are simply creations of my perverted mind and twisted sense of humor, mostly involving beer, debauchery and a good dose of boobetry. ( Is that a word? It is now). In the end, you either get it or you don’t. If you do, thank you, and consider yourself lucky that you have a sense of humor and a life. If you don’t, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but fuck off anyway. If we are ever in your area come out and see the band and join the party, or maybe I’ll just stumble into you by chance at some kegger. Until then, thanks for listening, and enjoy the music.
